In 1879 the Oriental Steam Navigation Company officially joined forces with the Pacific Steam Navigation Company and formed the Orient Pacific Steam navigation Company.
In 1901 the company reshuffled financial arrangements and renamed the company Orient-Pacific Line.
In 1906 the Australian interests of this company were purchased by the Royal Mail Steam Packet Co. and renamed to Orient Royal Mail Line.
In 1910 this company was then renamed Orient line Of Royal Mail Steamers.
