This company was first registered in 1962 as the Dominion Navigation Company (Nassau Bahamas) . Dominion began passenger and cargo services between Melbourne and the Orient during 1963.
In 1969 the company changed its name to the Dominion Far East Line and had one principle cruise ship known as the Marco Polo.
During 1978 the Marco Polo was suddenly withdrawn from service and the company disbanded.
