This line was a mystery for a long time because part of the logo is missing. I stumbled across an exact picture of the full design and am sure it belongs to the Glasgow Calcutta and Bombay Line of Packets. The line dates to around 1865.
A Packet was a term used for a ship that travelled from port to port delivering the mails.
